Something I honestly didn’t learn until I had lost everything. When I gave all I had at the time, which was $200, my world changed… For the first time in my life, I FELT abundant. While I couldn’t even pay my rent, giving those $200 meant I could help create 600 meals for people in the community that most likely would have gone hungry.

When I had the least, I learned what abundance is at that moment. It’s a mindset, a feeling, and it’s about something MUCH bigger than you or me.

Creating a solution to end hunger is a cause that is close to my heart, and I believe hunger IS solvable. Three Square Foodbank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a member of Feeding America’s network of food banks.

Three Square began during the recession in 2007 and is an organization that always had, and always WILL, have a very special place in my heart. Not only did a member of my extended family start the organization, but I’ve also personally witnessed how effectively it is run after having had the opportunity to work there in a short period. Among other things, we established a corporate team-building program called “Succeed & Feed” (I still LOVE that title so much)!
